3019 · Graph and agent inspection

Chapter 16 · Relationships turn transactions into ecosystems

Plan a multi-party graph that preserves sources, roles, assessments and history.

Open a workspace beside this lesson. Protected links keep their existing access gates; no new permission is granted by this course.

Opening the fixed anonymous evidence graph…

Why this matters

A participant can be a supplier, customer, reviewer and service recipient in different relationships.

The ecosystem chapter emphasizes the continuing value of an asset’s evidence trail beyond one transaction.

Step by step

  1. 01

Sketch multiple roles for one asset

Screen or control: Chapter 16 ecosystem and provenance passages

Why: Roles change while exact participants and source history must remain.

How: Draft anonymous manufacturer, laboratory and service-provider roles around one asset. Give each proposed relationship its own type, scope and missing-evidence state.

What you should see: A role-specific ecosystem diagram.

Verify: No relationship is derived from a shared name or prefix containment.

  2. 02

    Inspect a first-class relationship

Screen or control: P5 relationship selection and original JSON

Why: Agents need the assertion itself, not just a human-readable line.

How: Select a directed edge and record its address, endpoints, actor, source, time and authority. Identify fields that remain unknown.

What you should see: A relationship evidence envelope.

Verify: No unknown provenance is silently normalized into current verified state.

What is happening under the surface

Typed relationships reference original participants; they do not merge identities or infer ownership.

A historical assertion, current assessment and later authorized decision are separate records. Unknown intervals, actors and authority remain explicit.

Common mistakes

  • Calling a connected graph a complete verified lifecycle.
  • Deleting older assertions when a later assessment differs.

The records an agent needs

The current sample has separately inspectable directed assertions. It does not contain a complete operational, legal, calibration or commercial history.

Pointers locate records; hashes pin bytes; lesson numbers locate teaching material. None substitutes for an applicable assigned GS1 identity.

Apply what you learned

Draft a supersession scenario for one proposed relationship.

Prepare these outputs

  • Original assertion
  • New assessment
  • Required authorized decision
  • History-preserving links and unknowns

Review your work against these checks

  • Original endpoints and assertions remain addressable
  • Authority is scoped
  • No customer discrepancy is resolved on the customer’s behalf

Check your reasoning

A new assessment disagrees with an older source assertion. What should happen?

This answer stays in page memory, is cleared when you leave, and is not sent or recorded as certification, validation or authority.

Source and current boundaries

Complete lifecycle and institutional-value outcomes are a future direction. The supplied book body proceeds from Chapter 16 to Chapter 20; Chapters 17–19 are not present and are not invented.

Current governance adds exact-source retention, unknown-state, disclosure, validation and scoped-authority safeguards. Those safeguards are not represented as quotations from the historical book.

Numeric lesson numbers are educational content locators, not GS1 identities. Linked public screens use an anonymous non-issued fixture; reading, retrieval and practice do not authorize physical/cloud execution or constitute model-weight training.
