Chapter 21 · Reuse the method, not an untested promise

Define reusable context invariants while identifying what must change and be revalidated in a new domain.

Why this matters

A consistent way to record identity, observations, rules and evidence makes comparisons easier.

Different instruments and industries still have different semantics, interfaces, safety constraints and authority.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Identify structural invariants

Screen or control: Chapter 21 invariant table

Why: Common structure should not flatten domain facts.

How: List what an anonymous PCR composition and a hypothetical monitoring composition both need: exact identities, attributed inputs, method/rule scope and output provenance.

What you should see: A shared context checklist.

Verify: The checklist describes requirements, not a functioning second vertical.

  2. 02

    Specify the domain-specific changes

Screen or control: P3 governed model and formal validation states

Why: The sample’s explicit gaps show where reuse requires new evidence.

How: List new vocabulary, units, interface support, constraints and formal validation inputs for the hypothetical domain. Keep all unknowns explicit.

What you should see: A domain-adaptation test plan.

Verify: No copied role term or structural test is claimed as published-model conformance.

What is happening under the surface

Reuse the requirement to preserve exact participants, sources, versioned methods and scoped decisions.

Do not assume unchanged transport, event semantics, ontology terms or acceptance criteria. Reuse is a testable proposal, not automatic compatibility.

Common mistakes

  • Saying a driver works in every industry after changing a few values.
  • Treating domain ontology labels as proven mappings.

The records an agent needs

The current sample has structural demo checks and unresolved formal model work. A reusable contract does not imply Allotrope, AFO, SHACL or hardware validation.

Apply what you learned

Prepare a reuse assessment for a hypothetical second domain.

Prepare these outputs

  • Reusable evidence invariants
  • Changed domain facts
  • Missing interface/model evidence
  • Retest criteria

Review your work against these checks

  • Exact domain participants remain distinct
  • No compatibility is assumed
  • Formal and structural validation states are separate

Check your reasoning

What can a reused context contract guarantee by itself?

This answer stays in page memory, is cleared when you leave, and is not sent or recorded as certification, validation or authority.

Source and current boundaries

Chapter 21 · future vision. Adapted, anonymous teaching prose; not a quotation or independent verification of the author’s assertions.

Source part word/document.xml; original document SHA-256 71e6f7f572534c88a701043b60d5f3f842434a8880c34894eb4fe66177f68d9f. Exact paragraph/table locators are retained; page numbering is not verified.

Universal reuse is the proposed direction. No unchanged-code, universal compatibility or cross-industry execution guarantee is made.

Current governance adds exact-source retention, unknown-state, disclosure, validation and scoped-authority safeguards. Those safeguards are not represented as quotations from the historical book.

Numeric lesson numbers are educational content locators, not GS1 identities. Linked public screens use an anonymous non-issued fixture; reading, retrieval and practice do not authorize physical/cloud execution or constitute model-weight training.
